On June, 4th in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) there were announced winners of the 13th International Fair Poster Competition* which is annually held by UFI and Plovdiv International Fair. 100 posters submitted by 32 trade fair organizers from 22 countries took part in the competition. The Grand-Prix was awarded to trio of posters "Created by Nature" - RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy trade fair and conference**which will be held for the first time by Euroindex(Ukraine) and REECO (Germany) this autumn in Kiev, Ukraine.
Valerii Pekar, president of Euroindex Ltd, in his words of gratitude to organizers and jury of the competition, has mentioned importance of this high award not only for image of the company: "Today Ukraine really needs alternative energy, and attractive creative decisions for promotion of this idea are necessary for us. Certainly, it is not easy in this tough time to launch new project - but we, together with REECO GmbH, have decided to hold RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy for the first time this year. I am sure, that the win of our posters "Created by nature" will be a powerful support for us in popularization of domestic alternative energy, which is able to strengthen power energy independence of Ukraine".
The short list also included posters of participants from Germany, Russia and South Korea. The main criteria for the jury - authoritative experts of exhibition industry, well-known designers and artists - are ability of the poster to promote an exhibition event; integrity and original representation, and design concept. The statuette, created specially for the competition by the outstanding Bulgarian sculptor, Yanko Nenov, will be granted to the winner during the rewarding ceremony at the 76th annual UFI Congress on October, 28-31 in Zagreb (Croatia).

* International Fair Poster Competition is one-of-a-kind forum of modern exhibition poster art presenting all newest tendencies in the field of exhibition posters design. Competition is held annually since 1997, and starting from 2003 under the auspices of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
** International trade fair and conference on alternative energy RENEXPO Eastern Europe / Alternative Energy is oriented on development of alternative energy (sun and wind energy, biofuel etc.) in Ukraine, though it is still at the initial stage of development, there is a way to bring certain contribution to the solution of energy safety problem in Ukraine.
